Camp Comfort:
7. Makelike Tea Towels: $26 (I cheated on this gift pick by $1, but these tea towels are totally worth the extra $). I recently discovered this Portland, OR graphic design studio via local shop Alder & Co. Tea towels make great gifts because nearly everyone uses them and one can hardly have enough! Plus they’ll think of you every time they dry the dishes.

Mustard and Sage:
8. Brass & Steel Fabric Scissors: $18. She’s going to have a hard time deciding whether to use these or keep them on display! Made for generations by a family in India.

Alice Q. Foodie:
3. Totem tree: $36. I visited this carefully curated children’s shop in Brooklyn a few weeks ago.  It’s the perfect place to buy a unique gift for friend with a baby or small child.  This tree and robot doll in particular caught my eye. They also have fantastic clothes.

K.I.D. Collective:
4. Milk Glass Cake Plate: $58. A vintage cake stand may seem an unusual gift, but not for the baker in your life. This stand will be well used and make his/her tasty treats look that much better.

{Wit + Delight}:
5. Four Cheese Honey Flight: $49.
6. Coffee Sack Basket: $35.

7. Materious – Piggy: $54. This piggy gives back.  The larger pig is for personal savings and the smaller pig is for charitable gift.

8. The Meadows – Himalayan Salt Block: $62. From a local foodie shop, the salt block can be used to cook, serve and savor. Place food directly on the block to pull out the flavor of the salt. It seems like something that was done 1000′s of year ago.

Mustard and Sage
1. 2011 wall calendar from Leah Duncan: $20.  I love a wall calendar that doubles as art, and this one is designed so you can trim off the calendar at the end of the year and have a 8×10 print to frame.

Alice Q. Foodie
2. Heath Ceramics espresso set: $64 (set of 2). Heath Ceramics cups and vases are one of my very favorite things to give as gifts. Everything is made in their Sausalito factory – if you’re in the Bay Area, stop by their store for factory seconds that are virtually indistinguishable from first quality.

3. Robot doll: $60. I visited this carefully curated children’s shop in Brooklyn a few weeks ago.  It’s the perfect place to buy a unique gift for friend with a baby or small child.  This tree and robot doll in particular caught my eye. They also have fantastic clothes.
