I really should change the title of this post because let’s be honest, aside from the Slider party and cooking for my parents while they were in town, it’s been a while since I’ve cooked much of anything worth sharing lately. Also note, up until this summer, last week to be exact, it’s been ages since I’ve had a gin and tonic. I over-did-it some time about 10 years ago and the thought of tonic (not gin, mind you) makes me a little quesy.
While at an open house for our building last week, I was handed a gin and tonic. I was reluctant but this one, my friends, is a game changer. The tonic isn’t the Schweppes or Canada Dry variety. It uses Fever Tree Tonic. It’s a fragrant, cleaner version that’s much less sweet than the brands you already know. It even comes in a pretty glass bottle. Do yourself a favor and check out the other tonic waters out there and while you’re at it, get yourself a good bottle of gin. Like I said, game changer.
